The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Senior Technical Officer (Bioinformatician) to work in a joint role between the Rosenbluh lab and the Monash Bioinformatics Platform at the Monash Biomedicine Discovery Institute. The Rosenbluh lab uses high throughput CRISPR based screening strategies to define genes that are related to particular cancer phenotypes.

This position will be responsible for processing and analysising large scale sequencing data from various types of screens. In addition, we are keen to develop new algorithms and pipelines for processing and analysis of CRISPR screens. The successful individual will also work alongside the Monash Bioinformatics Platform and will have access to the expertise, networking, and training opportunities of the bioinformatics community at Monash.

Ideally, we are seeking someone with a degree and extensive experience in a relevant discipline, such as biology, computer science, physics, statistics or bioinformatics.

Applicants with experience in the analysis of Next­Gen sequencing data, bioinformatics software applications and/or statistical methods development are especially encouraged to apply. 

This role is a full-time position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.
