The Opportunity

An exciting opportunity exists for a Research Fellow to join the School of Psychological Sciences TRACK-FA team. Monash University is the lead partner in the TRACK-FA global study to track brain and spinal cord changes in people with Friedreich ataxia (FA), with a view to identify early markers of disease progression.

As the successful candidate, you will lead the analysis of human structural and susceptibility MRI in neurological diseases as part of a multisite, international study. You will independently drive data analysis activities as well as drive the preparation and submission of research publications and reporting to academic and industry stakeholders. There will be access to career and research grand proposal development support and the supervision of graduate students and assistants is required.

Your familiarity and competence with human structural and/or susceptibility MRI analysis methods and standard neuroimaging tools (eg. FSL, SPM, ANTS, etc) will enable your success in this position.

The appointee will have a doctoral qualification in neuroscience, biomedical engineering, electrical or computer engineering, medical physics or a related discipline.
