The team

The Portfolio of the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Vice-President is responsible for the University’s administrative portfolio, which includes the majority of the University’s internal and infrastructure support services and the link between the University and associated organisations. The portfolio ensures the effective integration of people, buildings and technology drive to support the University’s objectives.

This position is located within Monash HR. We facilitate staff engagement and organisational performance by providing workforce management expertise and HR service and solutions. 

The Opportunity

The Senior Analyst, Innovation and Analytics applies high-level expertise to provide a range of complex analytical services, including data transformation and visualisation, to support the business and strategic needs of stakeholders in Monash HR and our client areas.  

The Senior Analyst is responsible for identifying, developing, and implementing new analytical processes, methodology, and frameworks to meet business needs and enhance the operations and services relevant to the staff lifecycle. The role will be focused on innovation and automation to improve efficiencies and reduce the need for intervention in processes and procedures.   

In this role you will:

  • Manage and coordinate a range of business strategy and analytical services

  • Partner with senior leaders to deliver and analyse results and provide strategic, expert advice, insight, and guidance on strategies, initiatives, and decisions

  • Coordinate and oversee a work environment of continuous review and improvement

  • Undertake research, consultation, reviews, modelling, forecasting, business case development, quantitative and qualitative analysis, data visualisation, and benchmarking to provide advice and support to business decision-making

About You

Your substantial business analysis experience, highly developed planning and organisational skills, excellent relationship management and highly developed analytical and conceptual skills will be key to your success in this role.
